TINY SCOOP - If Steam is to be believed, then Clockwork Revolution might be further along than we think

Unproven nug.

TINY SCOOP? These are potential stories that we think have been discovered by thatHITBOX, but don’t ever break embargo’s or NDA’s. We also flat out refuse to spoil any new game announcements, or add false credence to rumours generated from other sources. If a Tiny Scoop has already been reported elsewhere first, we will endeavour to update our coverage.

Based on the tried and true method of “browsing a Steam sale”, we clocked that Xbox Game Studios was plastered all over Gabe’s home page. Even though we’re primarily using Game Pass on Series X for Microsoft made content, we thought it would be worth dipping a toe and seeing what some of the first party games are going for in this latest promotion.

After a casual scroll through the offering, we stumbled on to the “Coming Soon” section. The expected titles were in there; Avowed, Hellblade 2, Towerborne, Ara, and Age of Mythology were expected in 2024 so their inclusion is logical. However, we then stumble across another little thumbnail: key art for InXile’s Clockwork Revolution.

Up until this moment, there hadn’t even been a release window for Clockwork Revolution, other than “it’s cooking”. But with every other game on that Coming Soon list expected this year, and with plenty of other Xbox First Party titles with unknown release dates, this certainly raised a Vulcan eyebrow. Whatever the case may be, we’re certainly excited to learn more, and hopefully that will now be sooner rather than later.

TARPS?

At the bottom of some of our articles, you’ll see a series of absurd looking images (with equally stupid, in joke laden names). These are the TARP badges, which represent our ‘Totally Accurate Rating Platform’. They allow us to identify specific things, recognise positive or negative aspects of a games design, and generally indulge our consistent silliness with some visual tomfoolery.
