A strange new world.

Crowdfunding continues to be a fascinatingly complex approach to launching creative projects, with platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo offering a myriad of possibilities to people with great ideas. One project that really caught our eye was Flynt Buckler, a turn based action adventure inspired by the jolliness of Nintendo’s Paper Mario series.

Sleep Castle Studio is made up of just two core developers, and a team of collaborators responsible for specific aspects of the games design. Project Lead Ryan Kitner (who has just started working on the game full time) and his dev partner Daniel Whitworth, have taken a remarkable leap of faith in a title that began life as an isolated pandemic side project.

Thankfully, their passion has paid off in spades. The game has met its Kickstarter funding goal, and they’ve just revealed the first batch of possible stretch goals. If you’re interested in having a peak, you can check it out here.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I recently backed this project on Kickstarter, at the $40 Hero (Deluxe Edition) tier.
